As a Senior Platform Software Engineer (OCI - Developer Platform), you will join the team building a greenfield application deployment system for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. What you'll do

Design, build, test, and operate core services and APIs for a modern application deployment platform.
Deliver resilient and scalable deployment workflows for shipping changes across diverse environments.
Translate ambiguous platform needs into clear technical designs and high-quality software.
Build safety and reliability into products through isolation, policy enforcement, and observability.
Develop platform primitives that enable AI-assisted engineering workflows with appropriate controls.
Use operational signals and customer feedback to improve performance and deployment success rates.
Raise engineering standards through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, and mentoring.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional software development experience delivering production-quality distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools.
Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, Go, C++, C#, or Python.
Experience designing APIs, data models, and service architectures with a focus on scalability, availability, security, and operability.
Solid understanding of cloud-native systems, including containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or release engineering.
Demonstrated ability to drive work from problem definition through design, implementation, launch, and ongoing operation.
Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines.
Experience in deployment platforms, GitOps, SRE, security engineering, or AI-assisted developer tools (preferred).
