Senior Platform Software Engineer, OCI - Developer Platform

What you'll do

• Design, build, test, and operate core services and APIs for a modern application deployment platform.
• Deliver resilient and scalable deployment workflows for shipping changes across diverse environments.
• Translate ambiguous platform needs into clear technical designs and high-quality software.
• Build safety and reliability into products through isolation, policy enforcement, and observability.
• Develop platform primitives that enable AI-assisted engineering workflows with appropriate controls.
• Use operational signals and customer feedback to improve performance and deployment success rates.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, and mentoring.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience delivering production-quality distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools.
• Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, Go, C++, C#, or Python.
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and service architectures with attention to scalability, availability, security, and operability.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native systems, including containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or release engineering concepts.
• Demonstrated ownership to drive work from problem definition through design, implementation, launch, and ongoing operation.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines.
• Experience in application deployment platforms, large-scale distributed systems, SRE, or security engineering (preferred).
