Senior Platform Software Engineer, Developer Platform

What you'll do

• Design, build, test, and operate core services and APIs for the OCI application deployment platform.
• Deliver resilient and scalable deployment workflows to help developers ship changes across diverse environments.
• Translate ambiguous platform requirements into clear technical designs and high-quality software in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Build safety features including isolation, policy enforcement, auditability, and automated recovery paths into the product.
• Develop platform primitives that support AI-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining strict security controls.
• Use operational signals and customer feedback to improve developer experience and deployment success rates.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, technical documentation, and mentoring of other team members.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a record of delivering production-quality distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools.
• Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, Go, C++, C#, Python, or similar.
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and service architectures with focus on scalability, availability, security, and operability.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native systems including containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or release engineering.
• Demonstrated ownership to drive work from problem definition through design, implementation, launch, and ongoing operation.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines.
• Experience in deployment platforms, distributed systems, SRE, security engineering, or AI-assisted developer tools (preferred).
