Senior Platform Software Engineer, Developer Platform

What you'll do

• Design, build, test, and operate core services and APIs for the OCI application deployment platform.
• Deliver resilient and scalable deployment workflows to help developers ship changes across diverse environments.
• Translate ambiguous platform requirements into clear technical designs and high-quality software in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Build safety features including isolation, policy enforcement, auditability, and robust failure handling into the product.
• Develop platform primitives that support AI-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining security controls and human oversight.
• Use operational signals and customer feedback to improve developer experience, performance, and deployment success rates.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, and technical leadership.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Go, C++, C#, or Python.
• Experience designing scalable APIs, data models, and service architectures focusing on security and availability.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native systems including containers, orchestration, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects from problem definition through design, implementation, and operation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
