RF Payload Engineer, Systems & Test

What you'll do

• Identify and resolve root causes for RF hardware, software, and networking issues across the satellite constellation.
• Create and maintain payload operational processes, procedures, and runbooks for on-station commissioning and operations.
• Develop automation initiatives to reduce manual operational burdens and improve response times as the fleet scales.
• Interpret test results and perform root-cause analysis for both ground-based test failures and in-orbit anomalies.
• Support system-level integration, testing, and verification from laboratory environments to field testing.
• Manage in-orbit payload operations including "test-like-you-fly" verifications and real-time troubleshooting.
• Define key operational metrics and reporting tools to provide visibility into payload health and performance.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 6 years of experience in the RF, satellite, or aerospace industry.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functionally across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Candidates must be U.S. citizens, nationals, permanent residents, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• Experience testing satellite payload RF hardware, subsystems, mission operations, or in-orbit testing.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience with dashboard development, Grafana, Quicksight, SQL, or similar monitoring systems.
• Experience working with AWS Services and managing satellite constellation operations at scale.
