What you'll do

Lead technical projects to drive innovation and support PLC-based processes and utility skid equipment automation.
Design, build, commission, and qualify new equipment and systems for drug substance production.
Provide 24/7 on-site and on-call operational support, including troubleshooting and system administration for manufacturing units.
Perform root cause analysis and lead investigations into process control issues related to plant operations.
Manage the lifecycle of automation systems, including spare parts management and technical documentation like SOPs.
Execute new product and technology introductions by performing automation engineering assessments and configuration changes.
Mentor and develop the site's technical automation capabilities and provide guidance to the Automation Engineering team.

What we're looking for

High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of engineering experience, or Associate’s Degree and 8 years, or Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years, or Master’s Degree and 2 years.
Doctorate degree is accepted as a qualifying education level.
Preferred degrees include Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Biotech Engineering.
Experience in programming, design, installation, and lifecycle management of PLC and field device/instrumentation technologies.
Knowledge of integrating OEM automation software and field instrumentation technologies, specifically Rockwell platforms.
Expertise in process control engineering and troubleshooting within a GMP biopharmaceutical production facility.
In-depth knowledge of industry standards including 21 CFR Part 11, ASTM 2500, S88, S95, GAMP, GDP, and GMP.
Experience in Capital Project Lifecycle Management including conceptual design, detailed design, implementation, and validation.
