Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer, Automation PLC

What you'll do

• Provide automation technical leadership to a group of engineers supporting GMP Drug Substance Plant Operations.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using various PLCs and integration with the Emerson DeltaV system.
• Design and maintain SCADA systems, Trailblazer reporting systems, and equipment interface hardware.
• Lead standalone system implementation, start-up, and design for control panels and human-machine interfaces.
• Transform process requirements from subject matter experts into digital automated solutions.
• Lead technical root cause analysis, incident investigations, and troubleshooting for standalone systems.
• Manage 24x7 onsite and on-call operational support, including preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Support computerized systems validation and maintain Data Integrity Assessments in a GxP environment.

What we're looking for

• High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of engineering experience, Associate’s with 8 years, Bachelor’s with 4 years, or Master’s with 2 years of engineering experience.
• Doctorate degree in an engineering field.
• Degree in Electrical, Computer, Chemical, or Biotech Engineering (preferred).
• Direct knowledge of PLC design and experience in controls engineering and troubleshooting within a GMP biopharmaceutical production facility (preferred).
• Extensive background in programming, design, installation, and lifecycle management of standalone controls, PLC, and field device/instrumentation technologies (preferred).
• Experience with Rockwell industrial automation hardware and system integration using OPC, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, and DeviceNet technologies (preferred).
• Ability to interpret and apply GAMPs and GMPs, including 21 CFR Part 11, ASTM 2500, S88, and S95 (preferred).
• Experience in Capital Project Lifecycle Management, including conceptual design, cost estimation, and validation documentation (preferred).
