Senior Manager, Core Infrastructure Engineering

What you'll do

• Build and optimize AI compute infrastructure components including GPU control planes and data planes.
• Manage the development of scalable distributed systems and high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads.
• Design fault-tolerant systems with automated failover, load-shedding, and rate-limiting mechanisms.
• Oversee telemetry, performance monitoring, and the creation of complex dashboards for system health.
• Direct infrastructure automation through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and manage change management plans.
• Ensure security compliance by implementing encryption, access controls, and remediation plans.
• Manage team operations including on-call rotations, incident response, and proactive troubleshooting.

What we're looking for

• Must have 10+ years of experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, Go, or Rust.
• Must have 5+ years of experience in a people management or leadership role on cross-functional projects.
• Must have 5+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems, services, and infrastructure.
• Must possess a BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Must possess strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Preferred experience managing cloud infrastructure with hundreds of thousands of servers.
• Preferred experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Preferred experience scheduling high-performance workloads on Kubernetes or Slurm.
