Senior Manager, Core Infrastructure Engineering

What you'll do

• Manage the development of scalable distributed systems and components for high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads.
• Oversee system optimization for data processing, including the use of data plane platforms and distributed state tools.
• Guide teams to design fault-tolerant systems with automated failover, replication, and resilience mechanisms like load-shedding.
• Define and monitor performance metrics through custom dashboards, telemetry systems, and proactive alerting mechanisms.
• Oversee infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and manage change management plans for safe updates.
• Ensure data security through encryption, access controls, and compliance with industry standards in multi-tenant environments.
• Lead incident management by ensuring operational readiness, on-call coverage, and proactive troubleshooting of active systems.
• Manage large-scale projects while coaching team members on technical growth and professional development.

What we're looking for

• Must have 10+ years of experience in the field.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience managing teams delivering scalable distributed systems and components.
• Expertise in optimizing high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads and using distributed state tools.
• Proficiency in designing fault-tolerant systems with redundancy, replication, and automatic failover.
• Experience overseeing infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation for cloud infrastructure management.
• Ability to manage complex projects including timelines, deliverables, and budget monitoring.
• Skills in implementing security measures such as encryption and access control in multi-tenant environments.
