What you'll do

Manage the development of scalable distributed systems and components using distributed state tools and data plane platforms.
Oversee system optimizations for high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads and large-scale data processing requirements.
Guide teams to design fault-tolerant, in-service-upgradable systems with defined SLOs for durability and availability.
Implement reliability mechanisms such as load-shedding, throttling, rate-limiting, and automated failover strategies.
Oversee the creation of telemetry, complex dashboards, and alerting systems to monitor system health and KPIs.
Direct the design of functional requirements, fault-injection testing, and data replication/synchronization strategies.
Manage infrastructure automation through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and oversee change management for safe patching and rollbacks.
Ensure compliance with security standards by overseeing encryption, access controls, and remediation plans.

What we're looking for

Must have 10+ years of experience in the field.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Experience managing teams delivering scalable distributed systems and components is required.
Expertise in optimizing high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads and using distributed state tools is required.
Ability to design fault-tolerant, in-service-upgradable systems with defined SLO-aligned durability and availability targets.
Proficiency in implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation for cloud infrastructure management.
Experience overseeing security measures including encryption, access control, and compliance documentation.
Ability to manage complex projects involving cross-functional partnerships and talent acquisition.
