Senior Manager, Core Infrastructure Engineering

What you'll do

• Manage the development of scalable distributed systems and high-throughput data processing components across multiple teams.
• Oversee the design of fault-tolerant systems including redundancy, replication, and automatic failover mechanisms.
• Direct the implementation of security measures, encryption techniques, and compliance with industry standards for multi-tenant environments.
• Manage large-scale projects by setting priorities, monitoring timelines, and aligning technical work with business needs.
• Oversee operational readiness, incident management, and the development of automation tools like Infrastructure as Code.
• Lead talent acquisition by identifying, interviewing, and hiring high-quality engineering candidates.
• Provide performance coaching and career development guidance to team members in alignment with organizational goals.
• Drive continuous improvement by optimizing internal processes, workflows, and technical methodologies.

What we're looking for

• Must have 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly-available distributed systems.
• Must have 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Must possess a BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Must demonstrate expertise in cloud engineering, networking, and distributed systems.
• Must demonstrate the ability to identify and recruit high-quality engineering talent.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex information to leadership.
• Must be able to scale systems through tooling and automation.
