As a Senior Lead Software Engineer within the Commercial & Investment Technology in Cash Prime Technology team, you will serve as a core technical contributor focused on building and delivering secure, stable, and scalable market-leading products. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot complex software solutions while managing project estimates, unit testing via Test Driven Development, and ensuring production stability across various business functions. Your daily work involves solving large-scale problems related to clearing and settlements within the Cash Prime business. You will utilize a technical stack including Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Kafka, React JS, AWS cloud, and Kubernetes while following DevOps methodologies. Additionally, you will drive the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices for code review and test acceleration, ensuring all outputs meet strict security and performance standards within a CI/CD pipeline.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot complex software solutions while considering upstream and downstream system impacts.
Create automated unit tests using a Test Driven Development approach.
Manage testing phases including Unit, SIT, and UAT planning.
Ensure robust code delivery into production environments with zero tolerance for post-implementation issues.
Establish and enforce best practices for code reviews, architecture standards, and code reuse.
Drive the adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Implement and manage software within the SDLC toolchain using automation and AI-assisted capabilities.
Design and develop micro-front end based micro-services.
What we're looking for
Formal degree or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Strong core Java experience including advanced concepts like collection framework, garbage collection, and multi-threading.
Experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Database knowledge, Kafka, React JS, CI/CD, and AWS cloud.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying.
Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on compliant usage.
Designing and developing micro-front end based micro-services (preferred); exposure to Kubernetes platform (preferred); exposure to DevOps methodology (preferred).
