Senior Lead Software Engineer, Payments, AI, Java, Spring Boot

What you'll do

• Manage the delivery for two scrum teams.
• Spend at least 50% of the time performing hands-on coding as a technical lead.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by others.
• Drive the adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Identify opportunities to automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Lead communities of practice to promote awareness and usage of leading-edge technologies.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
• Advanced knowledge in Java on Spring Boot programming language.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Experience with high throughput, low latency distributed systems ensuring efficient communication and integration.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on compliant usage.
• Knowledge of reactive programming, On-prem or public cloud, and Cockroach or Cassandra databases (preferred).
