Senior Lead Software Engineer, Java

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions for complex business functions.
• Create automated unit tests using a Test Driven Development approach.
• Analyze and build systems for control, stability, resiliency, capacity, and performance.
• Manage Unit, SIT, and UAT testing planning and execution.
• Deliver production-ready code with zero tolerance for post-implementation issues.
• Drive the adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams.
• Establish and maintain standards for code reviews, architecture, and code reuse.
• Develop realistic project estimates in partnership with supporting technical leads.

What we're looking for

• Formal degree or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Strong core Java experience including advanced concepts like collection framework, garbage collection, and multi-threading.
• Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Database, Kafka, React JS, CI/CD, and AWS cloud.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, DevOps, Application Resiliency, Security, and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on compliant usage.
• Designing and developing micro-front end based micro-services (preferred).
• Expert in Kubernetes platform (preferred).
• Expert in DevOps methodology (preferred).
