The Senior Lead, ServiceNow Developer joins the security operations team to design, develop, and optimize ServiceNow capabilities for Vulnerability Response and Configuration Compliance. This role involves building workflows for vulnerability ingestion, normalization, and remediation while automating compliance finding assignments based on infrastructure ownership. The developer will perform hands-on technical leadership, including troubleshooting data reconciliation and managing CMDB relationships to ensure accurate security finding associations. Key technologies include JavaScript, Glide APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, and the Automated Test Framework. The position solves the business problem of transforming raw vulnerability and configuration data into actionable remediation workflows, ensuring that security findings are efficiently routed and closed within a highly regulated enterprise environment.
Design, configure, and develop ServiceNow Vulnerability Response and Configuration Compliance capabilities.
Build workflows for vulnerability ingestion, normalization, prioritization, assignment, and remediation.
Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise security platforms using REST APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Servers.
Automate the assignment of compliance findings based on CI ownership and infrastructure responsibility.
Maintain CMDB data quality and CI reconciliation logic to associate security findings with assets.
Develop server-side and client-side scripts including JavaScript, Script Includes, Business Rules, and ACLs.
Create dashboards and reports to provide visibility into remediation status and compliance findings.
Perform technical design reviews, code reviews, and platform upgrades to ensure solution maintainability.
What we're looking for
Must have 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development or engineering experience.
Must have experience implementing, developing, or supporting ServiceNow Vulnerability Response.
Must have experience with Configuration Compliance or comparable ServiceNow security/compliance capabilities.
Must possess strong ServiceNow development skills including JavaScript, Glide APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP, MID Server, Import Sets, and Automated Test Framework.
Must have a strong understanding of ServiceNow CMDB, CI relationships, asset identification, and data-quality dependencies.
Must have experience troubleshooting integrations, high-volume data-processing workflows, and designing solutions across development, UAT, and production environments.
Preferred: 5-7 years experience integrating ServiceNow with security platforms like Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or Microsoft Defender (preferred).
