This role involves supporting the development and test of air vehicle designs through lab, ground, and flight tests. Key responsibilities include creating support documentation like block diagrams and wiring interconnect diagrams, managing concurrent projects, participating in design reviews, and conducting root cause analysis for vehicle integration. Candidates must be proficient in designing electrical harnessing for rugged aerospace or military applications and familiar with electrical bus interfaces including CAN, Ethernet, RS422, RS232, and MIL-STD-1553. The work addresses the technical challenge of delivering flight-critical electronics and FPGA-based processing architectures for autonomous platforms in contested environments.

What you'll do

Create support documentation including block diagrams, ICDs, and wiring interconnect diagrams.
Build and test avionics system components through lab, ground, and flight tests.
Manage concurrent involvement in multiple projects at various stages of development.
Participate in design reviews to identify issues and drive technical design choices.
Conduct root cause analysis to support vehicle integration and field operations.
Support the development and test of air vehicle designs with avionics and manufacturing teams.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
8+ years experience designing and integrating electrical systems into aerospace vehicles or missiles.
Proficient in designing electrical harnessing for rugged commercial, industrial, aerospace, or military applications.
Familiarity with common electrical bus interfaces including CAN, Ethernet, RS422, RS232, and MIL-STD-1553.
Excellent communication skills.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
12+ years experience designing and integrating electrical systems into aerospace vehicles or missiles (preferred).
Experience with Siemens Capital software for 2D modeling and drafting (preferred).
