JOB TITLE: Senior Director
The Senior Director joins the Global Data Office to support the Vice President of Infrastructure, Data Engineering, and Business Intelligence. This role involves defining, architecting, and executing a global Data and AI management and governance platform strategy. You will manage a team of product managers, data analysts, and process managers to deliver target architectures for merchant data. Key responsibilities include establishing data quality, metadata, access rights, and consent management while collaborating with senior leadership to align data practices with company strategy. You will utilize skills in product management, platform development, and stakeholder management. Required technical competencies include Apache Spark, Postman, Artifactory, Python, Scikit Learn, Pandas, and GitHub. The role solves complex data governance and architecture challenges within the payments industry.
Define, architect, and execute the global Data/AI management and governance platform strategy.
Manage a team of product managers, data analysts, and process managers to deliver merchant data architecture.
Develop the vision for data quality, metadata, access rights, and consent management.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align data management practices with company strategy.
Evangelize technical approaches including agentic solutions and product-led prioritization processes.
Translate complex technical concepts into requirements documents, business cases, and user stories.
Liaise with cross-functional teams including marketing, data science, and data engineering.
What we're looking for
Must have 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, 10+ years with an Advanced degree, or 5+ years with a PhD.
Must have 12+ years of work experience with a Master's or Advanced Degree in an analytical field (preferred).
Must have 17+ years of work experience with a Master’s or PhD in an analytical field (preferred).
Must have 5+ years of experience leading data management functions and related processes (preferred).
Must have 5+ years of experience managing large, global, and distributed teams (preferred).
Must have expert knowledge of technology processes for data management including Apache Spark, Postman, Artifactory, Python, Scikit Learn, Pandas, and GitHub.
Must have in-depth understanding of data strategy, data governance, and data management practices.
Must have experience with cloud technologies (preferred).
