As the Senior Director, Controllership & Operations Transformation within the Controllership group, you will serve as the strategic owner of the finance system architecture, data flow, and enhancement roadmap. You will manage the Workday Cloud ERP ecosystem, overseeing Record to Report initiatives, redesigning end-to-end cycles for consolidation and statutory reporting, and ensuring AI is integrated into financial automation strategies. The role requires bridging the gap between complex accounting requirements and technical execution by partnering with IT to resolve production issues and develop automated workflows. You will utilize expertise in US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX audit frameworks to drive operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include managing data integrity, leading cross-functional teams through digital transformations, and translating complex financial data into executive narratives while leveraging AI and machine learning to modernize accounting processes across the global organization.
Own the strategic roadmap for finance system architecture, data flow, and Workday Cloud ERP enhancements.
Lead Record to Report (R2R) initiatives to automate subledger flows and improve financial decision-making.
Redesign end-to-end R2R cycles to increase operational efficiency and shorten time-to-insight.
Act as the primary business owner for the accounting ERP system, ensuring data integrity and scalability.
Partner with IT teams to prioritize and resolve critical production issues within the finance technology stack.
Identify and integrate AI-driven solutions to automate manual accounting workflows and modernize operations.
Serve as a bridge between accounting functions and technical teams to translate business needs into system requirements.
Create compelling narratives and executive presentations to communicate complex project updates and financial data.
What we're looking for
Must have 12+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial systems, or finance transformation with a focus on R2R processes.
Must possess a BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
Requires deep expertise in enterprise-level ERP systems and accounting data architecture.
Must have expertise in US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements.
Must have robust experience with the SOX audit framework.
Must have first-hand experience driving AI transformation initiatives, specifically implementing agentic automation and intelligent workflows within Finance.
Requires exceptional executive communication skills to influence cross-functional technical and non-technical stakeholders.
