Senior Data Center Support Services Technician

What you'll do

• Install and configure enterprise servers, cabling infrastructure, and rack components.
• Perform hardware break/fix replacements for Field Replaceable Units (FRUs).
• Troubleshoot and resolve network switch issues and Telco connectivity problems.
• Execute structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting for fiber and copper cables.
• Manage asset inventory by ordering, receiving, and shipping server parts.
• Resolve assigned tickets within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Document technical activities and modify Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Respond to critical events and onsite emergencies as needed.

What we're looking for

• Must have 3+ years of experience working in an IT environment.
• Must have experience solving problems on servers, networking devices, and IT equipment.
• Must have experience with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and shipping server parts.
• Must have experience taking on-call shifts and responding to critical events as needed.
• Must have knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware.
• Must have knowledge of IT hardware concepts including RAID, SAN, SCIS, Linux/Unix, and GRUB.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• 2-year or 4-year degree or 3+ years of experience (preferred).
• 1+ year of experience in structured cabling, cable testing, and data center cooling/electrical systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of trunk infrastructure (preferred).
