Senior Data Center Operations Engineer

What you'll do

• Manage operational responsibility for one or more data center sites to ensure performance and alignment with business goals.
• Analyze trends in capacity, temperature, power, cooling, and other key metrics to proactively improve site reliability.
• Resolve complex technical issues by leading on-site resources through triage, escalation tracking, and incident resolution.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, playbooks, runbooks, and Root Cause Analysis reports.
• Implement automation tools and monitoring systems to reduce operational risk and prevent recurring infrastructure issues.
• Lead site expansions and new region builds by coordinating with project teams on capacity and deployment timelines.
• Oversee physical infrastructure tasks including rack deployments, equipment upgrades, inventory management, and facility maintenance.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must have 6 to 10+ years of experience in data center operations or related fields.
• Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking is required.
• Experience with Lean and Six Sigma principles for process improvement is preferred.
• Ability to manage complex projects including site expansions, infrastructure upgrades, and inventory management.
• Skill in performing root cause analysis (RCA) and developing technical documentation like SOPs and runbooks.
• Capability to monitor and analyze data center metrics such as power, cooling, and environmental conditions.
• Ability to lead incident management and coordinate with cross-functional teams for resolution.
• A government security clearance is considered a plus for supporting cleared programs.
