Senior Customer Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery and map complex customer infrastructure to Cloudflare products like DNS, CDN, and Zero Trust.
• Design and deliver tailored architectural diagrams, demonstrations, and proof of concept plans for enterprise clients.
• Act as the primary technical advisor throughout the entire lifecycle from pre-sales validation to long-term expansion.
• Create migration blueprints and provide step-by-step guidance to customer engineering teams during onboarding.
• Drive revenue growth by identifying cross-sell opportunities and conducting technical QBRs for C-level executives.
• Use AI tools and LLMs to automate routine tasks like RFP responses and internal documentation.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures and technical resources to improve the organization's knowledge base.

What we're looking for

• Must have an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Requires 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Technical Account Management.
• Must be able to design and articulate complex enterprise network and security architectures.
• Must possess the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for both engineers and C-level executives.
• Proven track record of operating in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment with an understanding of SaaS metrics.
• Must demonstrate depth in at least four areas: Internet fundamentals, Security, Performance, AI Proficiency, Coding/Scripting, or Developer Platform Fluency.
• Preferred experience includes LLM orchestration, RAG architectures, and knowledge of PCI DSS, HIPAA, or SOC 2 regulations.
• Must be authorized to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws.
