Senior Customer Engineer, Named

What you'll do

• Lead technical deep-dive discovery to map complex customer infrastructure to Cloudflare architectures.
• Define and scope technical evaluation plans and success criteria for Proof of Concepts.
• Deliver tailored technical presentations, architectural diagrams, and demonstrations to solve performance and security challenges.
• Design structured migration and onboarding blueprints for DNS, Zero Trust, and WAF rollouts.
• Monitor customer health scores and telemetry to resolve integration bottlenecks and ensure rapid time-to-value.
• Carry a variable quota for new business acquisition, platform adoption, and identifying expansion opportunities.
• Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews to translate platform capabilities into ROI for C-level executives.
• Use AI agents and LLMs to automate routine tasks like RFP responses and sandbox provisioning.

What we're looking for

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, or Sales Engineering.
• Ability to white-board, design, and articulate complex enterprise network and security architectures.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for engineers and C-level executives.
• Proven track record in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment with a strong understanding of SaaS metrics.
• Depth in at least four areas: Internet fundamentals, Security, Performance, AI Proficiency, Coding/Scripting, or Developer Platform Fluency.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Track record of creating technical enablement materials like workshops, code samples, or documentation (preferred).
• Export control laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
