Senior Business Development Manager - Azure Dedicated & Networking joins the Azure Core & Infrastructure team to drive strategic partnerships and inorganic growth for Azure Networking. This role focuses on the physical and software-defined infrastructure that connects, secures, and manages workloads at global scale. You will identify external technologies and partners to accelerate roadmaps for hybrid and multicloud connectivity, AI infrastructure networking, network observability, and application delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include formulating build, buy, partner, or invest strategies; negotiating complex commercial agreements involving intellectual property and service levels; and managing cross-functional deal teams. You will leverage knowledge of virtual networks, routing, load balancing, and software-defined networking to solve infrastructure challenges. The role requires translating technical requirements into partnership theses to improve performance, resiliency, security, and cost efficiency for cloud-native environments and high-performance network fabrics.
Identify external technologies and partnerships to accelerate Azure Networking priorities and address product gaps.
Formulate build, buy, partner, and invest strategies in collaboration with product and engineering leaders.
Develop technical and commercial value propositions to secure stakeholder support for strategic initiatives.
Lead complex negotiations regarding technical integration, commercial models, intellectual property, and service level agreements.
Design durable deal structures that align partner incentives with Azure’s long-term platform strategy.
Manage the full deal lifecycle including risk assessment, cross-functional team leadership, and executive reporting.
Establish post-signature governance to ensure signed agreements translate into successful product integration and delivery.
Track partner performance against contractual, technical, and operational commitments to ensure measurable business outcomes.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Sciences, or related field and 5+ years relevant work experience.
Master's/Advanced Degree in Business or Sciences and 5+ years relevant work experience (preferred).
Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of relevant work experience (preferred).
Experience developing and executing strategic partnerships, complex commercial agreements, or cross-company initiatives in the technology industry (preferred).
Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and networking concepts such as virtual networks, routing, and software-defined networking (preferred).
