Senior Architect, Computer Vision

What you'll do

• Own the model architecture, training, and deployment approach for vision and VLM workloads across the FactoryTalk portfolio.
• Develop and manage dataset strategies, annotation pipelines, and model fine-tuning processes for industrial applications.
• Optimize models for edge hardware using techniques like quantization, pruning, and distillation to meet real-time constraints.
• Establish evaluation suites and release gates to monitor accuracy, drift, and failure modes in production environments.
• Design systems that comply with OT security requirements, including on-premises inference and data residency protections.
• Serve as a technical lead by reviewing designs, coaching engineers, and providing expertise on vision technologies.
• Collaborate with Product Management to make investment decisions based on cost, latency, and accuracy trade-offs.
• Represent the company's industrial vision perspective in customer engagements and external technical forums.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the US.
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience (preferred).
• Master's or PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Experience training, evaluating, and deploying computer vision models for production use (preferred).
• Hands-on experience with modern vision/vision-language model architectures and PyTorch or TensorFlow (preferred).
• Experience with edge AI platforms, inference optimization, and Industrial Control Systems (preferred).
• Experience with MLOps practices, synthetic data generation, or industrial vision applications (preferred).
