The Senior Computer Vision Architect joins the Architecture team within the Video Computer Vision and Video Engineering organization. This role involves leading cross-functional initiatives to transform research into production-ready features by making critical architecture decisions that balance algorithm performance against imaging pipelines, system resources, and real-time constraints. You will mentor engineers, provide technical direction on algorithm design, and assess emerging techniques like vision transformers, foundation models, and vision-language models for resource-constrained products. Key responsibilities include partnering with hardware and software teams to influence roadmaps and optimizing image signal processing performance under tight power and latency constraints. Required expertise includes multi-modal perception systems, sensor fusion, and specialties such as SLAM, tracking, classification, calibration, PnP-based pose estimation, scene understanding, human representation, and image enhancement.
Lead cross-functional initiatives to turn computer vision research into production-ready features.
Make architecture decisions balancing algorithm performance against imaging pipelines and system resources.
Develop creative solutions within system constraints to unlock new perception capabilities.
Partner with hardware, software, and machine learning teams to influence product roadmaps.
Present technical recommendations and results to senior and executive leadership.
Mentor engineers on algorithm design, ISP, and embedded systems.
Assess vision transformers and foundation models for use in resource-constrained products.
What we're looking for
BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 20 years of relevant, proven experience.
Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives transforming computer vision research into production-ready features.
Deep understanding of multi-modal perception systems, sensor fusion, and diverse imaging technologies.
Expertise in specialty areas such as SLAM, tracking, classification, calibration, PnP-based pose estimation, scene understanding, human representation, or image enhancement.
Ability to bridge high-level algorithm design with low-level system optimization for ISP performance under power and latency constraints.
Proven track record of designing custom silicon, sensors, or optics (preferred).
Experience with vision transformers, foundation models, and vision-language models in resource-constrained environments (preferred).
