RF Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and optimize antenna and array architectures including element selection, feeding networks, and beam-forming strategies.
• Develop over-the-air link models and system performance models using ITU/3GPP style analysis.
• Manage end-to-end RF performance from ADC/DAC through the front-end to antenna radiation.
• Simulate element and array performance, mutual coupling, and scan loss using EM and RF design tools.
• Define calibration strategies for beam equalization and phase/amplitude error mitigation.
• Support prototype builds, bring-up, and test campaigns including chamber testing and over-the-air validation.
• Provide DFM and DFT feedback for antenna boards, modules, and test fixtures.
• Create design reports and test summaries to present results to leadership and cross-functional partners.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted refugee/asylum status for export control compliance.
• Experience designing and characterizing antennas, phased arrays, and RF front-ends across multiple domains.
• Proficiency in using EM and RF design tools such as HFSS, CST, or AWR.
• Ability to perform over-the-air link modeling and system performance analysis using ITU/3GPP standards.
• Experience with 3GPP style systems ranging from less than 1GHz to over 30GHz.
• Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems and CI/CD pipeline build processes.
