TL;DR · Release Train Engineer, Cross Mission Delivery Lead

The Release Train Engineer/Cross Mission Delivery Lead operates the cross-mission execution system for Atlas and the broader CI portfolio cadence. This role is responsible for connecting plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, commitments, and evidence into a disciplined flow while facilitating alignment across various teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading integrated release planning, managing critical paths, coordinating readiness forums, and operating change-control processes to ensure transparency for leadership. The candidate will utilize Azure DevOps or comparable work-management tools to reconcile execution data and resolve systemic impediments. Key required competencies include program management, strategic planning, decision making, and organizational leadership to influence stakeholders without direct authority. This role addresses the complex challenge of construction autonomy by managing the integration of physical systems with software, connectivity, and AI to develop intelligent machines that perceive their environment and operate in dynamic jobsites.

What you'll do

  • Lead integrated release planning and maintain reconciled execution plans across multiple mission teams.
  • Manage the critical path by monitoring baselines, forecasts, dependencies, and recovery triggers.
  • Coordinate cross-organization dependency flows including supplier identification, impact analysis, and escalation tracking.
  • Facilitate execution cadences to turn risks and impediments into accountable follow-through actions.
  • Oversee release readiness by managing entry/exit criteria, mitigations, and Go/No-Go preparations.
  • Execute change-control processes to ensure material changes are evaluated, communicated, and tracked.
  • Reconcile execution data across Azure DevOps and reporting tools to ensure high data quality.
  • Provide transparent status reports to leadership regarding critical-path threats and required decisions.

What we're looking for

  • Knowledge of practices used to plan, organize, monitor, and control a set of related projects and technical work.
  • Ability to translate objectives into integrated plans with credible sequencing, dependencies, checkpoints, and recovery paths.
  • Knowledge of processes for identifying, evaluating, approving, monitoring, communicating, and documenting changes.
  • Ability to align diverse stakeholders, establish operating discipline, and influence without direct authority.
  • Ability to monitor execution health, reconcile conflicting sources, and communicate status to technical and leadership audiences.
  • Ability to identify systemic impediments, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate resolution.
  • Experience integrating complex programs across multiple teams, technical domains, suppliers, or partner organizations (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or comparable work-management tools (preferred).
