JOB TITLE: React/Java Lead Fullstack Engineer - Lead Software Engineer As a Lead Software Engineer within the Payments Trust & Safety Technology Team, you will join the Fraud Protection group to design and deliver secure, scalable technology products. You will develop high-quality production code, perform technical troubleshooting, and monitor performance statistics to ensure infrastructure scalability. Your daily work involves building solutions to protect clients against fraudulent behavior while driving the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for code review and testing. You will utilize a technical stack including React, TypeScript, Java, Springboot, Microservices, Redux Toolkit, GraphQL, and HTML5/CSS3. Additionally, you will leverage AWS services like ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, and Kafka to solve complex problems within the financial services industry while managing the full Software Development Life Cycle.

What you'll do

  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
  • Design and implement tools to automate performance measurement, analysis, and standard benchmarking.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance and scalability across diverse hardware, software, and configurations.
  • Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technical issues that could negatively impact system performance or stability.
  • Execute creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems beyond conventional approaches.
  • Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.

What we're looking for

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages including React, TypeScript, Java, Springboot, and Microservices.
  • Practical experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Redux, Redux Toolkit, GraphQL, HTML5, CSS3, and REST API integration.
  • Experience with AWS Services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, EC2, Kafka, NLB, and various databases.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and understanding responsible AI use in engineering.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
