What you'll do

Drive architectural decisions for distributed systems including event-driven pipelines, CQRS patterns, and real-time data streaming.
Develop secure production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Translate requirements from UX designers and product owners into intuitive UI screens and user flows.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to improve the value realized by automated processes.

What we're looking for

Formal degree or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of experience developing UIs with hands-on React experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and the Software Development Lifecycle.
Demonstrated proficiency in technical processes within a discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
Practical cloud-native experience.
Experience developing, debugging, and automated testing (e.g., React Testing Library/Cypress) within a commercial setting.
Experience collaborating with backend teams to design scalable and reusable RESTful APIs.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
Exposure to frontend libraries such as ag-grid, highcharts, redux, and Typescript (preferred).
Experience in performance tuning complex UIs (preferred).
Experience working within Investment Bank or Finance Technology (preferred).
Team management experience (preferred).
Experience in DevOps models, Kubernetes, and cloud auto-scalable infrastructure (preferred).
