The R&D Engineering Technician joins the team developing next-generation Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) for seabed exploration. What you'll do

Build, integrate, and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs).
Route and service high-reliability cabling and wiring harnesses.
Design, prototype, and scale manufacturing jigs and fixtures to improve build and test efficiency.
Perform soldering, crimping, and assembly of cables and connectors.
Use electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and data acquisition sensors.
Execute testing procedures to inform and validate engineering design decisions.
Complete daily transactions in production systems including MES, NetSuite, and JIRA.
Provide training and support for new operators as required.

What we're looking for

4+ years of electronics experience in an R&D environment.
Experience building and troubleshooting cables and wiring harnesses including soldering and crimping.
Familiarity reading electrical system and component schematics.
Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition sensors.
Understanding of the product life cycle from NPI to scaled production and LEAN manufacturing principles.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Experience with machining, engine maintenance/assembly, and 3D printing (preferred).
Experience in sub-sea robotics or holding a MA state hoisting license (preferred).
