TL;DR · Ramp Program Manager

The Ramp Program Manager leads the planning, coordination, and execution of semiconductor equipment ramp activities from initial installation through customer qualification and transition to high-volume manufacturing. Serving as a central point of coordination, this role aligns engineering, field service, manufacturing, business units, and customer teams to meet critical milestones and business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing execution plans, tracking readiness for tool startups, identifying risks, and facilitating mitigation plans while providing executive visibility on issues. The role requires expertise in program management, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and action-item tracking within a fast-paced customer-facing environment. Candidates should possess skills in project metrics reporting and cross-functional leadership. This position addresses the technical challenge of managing complex equipment transitions and manufacturing readiness for advanced semiconductor chip production across technologies like Chemical Vapor Deposition and Atomic Layer Deposition.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end execution of semiconductor process ramp activities to meet performance targets and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate site-level qualification workflows, including schedule development and progress tracking.
  • Perform system diagnoses, service, and repair of complex equipment during on-site installations.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and troubleshoot complex technical issues for customer products.
  • Design experiments (DOEs) and analyze data using statistics to provide high-level conclusions.
  • Manage documentation deliverables such as startup reports and special request tracking in enterprise systems.
  • Identify risks to schedule or yield and drive mitigation plans with cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for site-level escalations involving engineering, service, and customers.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in semiconductor process engineering, equipment qualification, or ramp execution.
  • Strong understanding of process qualification frameworks, technical specifications, and statistical matching methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in customer-facing environments.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing complex schedules, competing priorities, and technical risks.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across global teams.
  • Experience with multi-site ramp execution or large-scale fab startups is preferred.
  • Experience working directly with semiconductor customers in high volume manufacturing (HVM) environments is preferred.
