What you'll do

  • Conduct research, development, and evaluation for cutting-edge semiconductor equipment and systems.
  • Develop and sustain new processes to reduce production costs and increase yields.
  • Analyze test data to establish process specifications and determine necessary limits and variables.
  • Enhance processing techniques used in the manufacture and fabrication of products.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to process technicians during execution activities.
  • Partner with customers to introduce and drive adoption of new technologies at their sites.
  • Contribute to next-generation product development and release activities for the semiconductor roadmap.

What we're looking for

  • A Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field with 8+ years of experience is required.
  • A PhD in a relevant field with 5+ years of experience is an acceptable alternative to the Master's requirement.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process design, deposition, etch dielectrics, or metal films is preferred.
  • Familiarity with laboratory work and semiconductor equipment involving surface preparation and analytical techniques is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or other scientific computing languages is preferred.
  • Experience with statistical tools such as JMP or Minitab is preferred.
  • Background in deposition techniques (ALD, CVD, PECVD, PVD) or plasma physics and etching (RIE, ALE, ICP, CCP) is preferred.
