What you'll do

Manage and develop comprehensive Engineering Work Plans for multi-disciplinary generation projects.
Lead the Engineering Design Review process and respond to technical Requests for Information (RFIs).
Coordinate design efforts between internal engineering teams, external consultants, OEMs, and EPC contractors.
Provide technical leadership and oversight during construction and project closeout activities.
Schedule and lead regular engineering meetings with project stakeholders to provide progress updates.
Resolve complex technical problems by analyzing conflicting data and identifying corrective actions.
Ensure all work activities comply with company standards, safety regulations, and agency procedures.
Prepare and present reports on complex technical subjects for management review.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required (or a Master's/PhD with fewer years of experience).
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology may satisfy the education requirement if accompanied by a Professional Engineering license.
Candidates must have between 2 and related engineering experience depending on their specific educational level.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.
Mechanical engineers or those with a background in mechanical engineering are preferred.
Experience overseeing multi-discipline engineering work is preferred.
Ability to travel up to 25% outside of Ohio within the AEP footprint during the construction phase.
