Required qualifications include an ABET-accredited engineering degree and relevant experience; a Professional Engineering license is preferred for senior roles.

What you'll do

Manage the Engineering Work Plan and lead the Engineering Design Review process.
Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) during the project lifecycle.
Coordinate design efforts between internal teams, external consultants, OEMs, and EPC contractors.
Provide technical leadership and oversight for multi-disciplinary generation projects including solar, wind, and battery storage.
Lead and facilitate engineering meetings with project stakeholders and provide regular progress updates.
Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of power generation assets.
Resolve complex technical problems by analyzing conflicting data and identifying corrective actions.
Prepare and present reports on complex technical subjects to management.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required, or a Master's/PhD with fewer years of experience.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology may satisfy the education requirement if accompanied by a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Candidates must have related engineering experience for entry level, for senior, or for principal roles.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.
Mechanical engineers and mechanical engineering technologists are preferred.
Experience overseeing multi-discipline engineering work is preferred.
Ability to lead, coordinate, and manage technical projects across various stakeholders and internal teams.
Ability to travel up to 25% outside of Ohio within the AEP footprint during the construction phase.
