You will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of the program, from initial concept through systems engineering, design, build, integration, and test phases. Your daily responsibilities include owning the technical architecture, managing hardware, software, and algorithm domains, and making authoritative trade-offs to resolve complex integration challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across satellite constellations, ground gateways, and optical inter-satellite links to ensure seamless functionality. The role requires deep expertise in navigation algorithms, clock synchronization, distributed satellite systems, and orbital infrastructure. You must navigate high ambiguity to define system interfaces and engineering standards while managing technical communications between product, regulatory, and engineering teams to solve critical connectivity challenges for underserved communities.

What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end design, architecture, roadmap, and execution of resilient Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems.
  • Make authoritative technical decisions and manage trade-offs across hardware, software, and algorithm domains.
  • Lead technical design reviews, define system interfaces, and establish engineering standards for all PNT capabilities.
  • Manage the full program lifecycle from initial concept through systems engineering, integration, testing, and continuous operations.
  • Resolve complex technical blockers and integration challenges using hands-on technical judgment.
  • Translate complex engineering trade-spaces into clear program decisions and actionable project plans.
  • Align cross-functional teams across multiple organizations toward coherent technical strategies and unified system goals.
  • Present architecture analyses, risk mitigation plans, and technical recommendations to senior leadership and executive audiences.

What we're looking for

  • Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in software development is required.
  • 10+ years of technical program management experience in engineering-intensive roles within technology, aerospace, or satellite systems is required.
  • Demonstrated experience owning system architecture and managing programs spanning hardware, software, and algorithm development across multiple teams.
  • Deep technical expertise in satellite systems, navigation algorithms, clock synchronization, and optical communications to drive architectural decisions.
  • Proven ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments while influencing technical roadmaps and negotiating with senior leadership.
  • Exceptional communication skills to present complex engineering trade-offs and architecture analyses to executive audiences.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, PMP or SEP certifications, and experience with PNT technologies.
