What you'll do

  • Conduct research, development, and evaluation for cutting-edge semiconductor equipment and systems.
  • Develop and sustain new processes to reduce production costs and increase yields.
  • Analyze test data to establish process limits and determine variables for specifications.
  • Review and enhance processing techniques used in product manufacture and fabrication.
  • Coordinate with customers and partners to understand roadmaps, requirements, and business challenges.
  • Contribute to the development and release of next-generation products supporting the semiconductor roadmap.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to process technicians during execution activities.

What we're looking for

  • Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related field with 6+ years of experience.
  • PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related field with 3+ years of experience.
  • Equivalent professional experience to the required degrees and years of experience.
  • Familiarity with laboratory work and semiconductor equipment involving surface preparation and analytical techniques (preferred).
  • In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE) (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or other scientific computing languages (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis, problem-solving methodologies, and tools like JMP or Minitab (preferred).
  • Background in deposition techniques (ALD, CVD, PECVD, PVD), plasma physics, material synthesis, or semiconductor manufacturing (preferred).
