Principal Partner Engineer

What you'll do

• Act as the primary technical point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned partners throughout the entire lifecycle.
• Drive technical discovery and architectural design to enable partners to sell Cloudflare One and AI solutions independently.
• Identify and cultivate technical "champions" within partner organizations to scale expertise and generate influenced revenue.
• Develop and manage Technical Account Plans that map partner business goals to specific technical execution milestones.
• Support the sales cycle by leading proofs-of-concept, technical validations, and high-level solution architecture sessions.
• Co-develop joint service offerings with partners to integrate Cloudflare products into their managed security portfolios.
• Use autonomous AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency for partner engagements.
• Provide feedback on beta software and emerging features through the Partner Technical Advisory Council.

What we're looking for

• Must have 8+ years of technical, partner-facing experience in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or networking.
• Must possess strong technical depth in SASE/SSE architectures, Zero Trust, DNS, and application security.
• Must have hands-on familiarity with AI deployment, AI Gateway, LLM orchestration frameworks, or vector databases.
• Must have a proven track record of developing technical talent or building champion programs within partner organizations.
• Must possess deep understanding of enterprise IT, multi-cloud, and hybrid cloud environments while managing complex projects.
• Must demonstrate the ability to manage the technical lifecycle of a deal from pre-sales discovery through post-sale delivery.
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Export control laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
