Senior Customer Engineer

What you'll do

• Map customer initiatives and business problems to specific Cloudflare solutions.
• Build technical relationships and identify champions within customer accounts.
• Lead technical discovery, design bespoke architectures, and conduct product demonstrations.
• Execute proof-of-concept activities for both prospects and existing customers.
• Manage the full customer lifecycle including onboarding, implementation, and technical health monitoring.
• Drive account expansion by identifying cross-sell opportunities and conducting technical QBRs for executives.
• Create professional content like white papers and blog posts to share expertise with peers.
• Represent Cloudflare as a thought leader at industry events and community forums.

What we're looking for

• Experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Broad technical expertise in web security, networking (routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation), cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Proven track record of operating in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment with an understanding of SaaS metrics.
• Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills to communicate between technical details and C-suite business strategy.
• Experience building or architecting solutions using Cloudflare’s developer platform and AI ecosystem, including Workers AI, AI Gateway, and Vectorize.
• Applied knowledge of prompt engineering, Large Language Model (LLM) orchestration, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages to write custom integration scripts and API connectors.
• Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws without sponsorship for an export license.
