You will leverage Python, Shell scripting, and advanced Linux administration to automate data center operations and ensure 24/7 availability. The role focuses on solving complex reliability and security challenges within high-security environments to support mission-critical communication and operational intelligence systems for public safety markets.

What you'll do

  • Manage the deployment and maintenance of RedHat OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters in private data centers.
  • Design and implement local CI/CD pipelines within dedicated on-premise environments.
  • Manage full-stack infrastructure including networking, storage, and compute to ensure 24/7 service availability.
  • Automate manual data center operations and infrastructure provisioning using Python, Shell scripting, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Design and implement L3/L4 networking solutions, including load balancers, firewalls, and software-defined storage.
  • Provide technical leadership by guiding the team through architectural design and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.
  • Ensure all local environments meet strict scalability, availability, and security requirements for public safety customers.
  • Conduct reviews and audits to ensure compliance and security throughout the software life cycle.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Systems Architecture.
  • Expertise in RedHat OpenShift and upstream Kubernetes cluster design, deployment, and management in non-cloud environments.
  • Advanced Linux Administration (RHEL preferred) including performance tuning and system security.
  • Deep understanding of Layer 3/4 Networking, BGP, Load Balancing, and Firewall management.
  • Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation and Infrastructure as Code using Ansible or Terraform.
  • Experience with Git/GitOps workflows and managing on-premise CI/CD instances like GitLab or Jenkins.
  • Ability to pass a stringent fingerprint background check for CJIS Security Policy compliance.
