What you'll do

  • Architect and develop scalable distributed systems that support horizontal and vertical scaling using distributed state management tools.
  • Optimize code and data paths for high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads and large-scale data processing.
  • Design fault-tolerant components featuring redundancy, replication, and automatic failover to ensure service availability during updates.
  • Implement mechanisms for handling network unreliability, including load-shedding, throttling, and rate-limiting.
  • Establish telemetry, KPIs, and automated alerting systems to proactively monitor system health and performance.
  • Design complex validation scenarios such as fault injection and brownouts to ensure data integrity and correctness.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools to manage cloud infrastructure and streamline deployment processes.
  • Resolve production issues through proactive debugging while mentoring peers on incident response and root cause analysis.

What we're looking for

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6–10+ years of software engineering experience building highly available, scalable distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, Rust, C/C++, or similar systems and backend languages.
  • Deep expertise in core infrastructure areas including distributed systems, cloud control planes, networking, storage, and virtualization.
  • Ability to lead the design and delivery of complex, resilient, and observable services.
  • Strong understanding of failure handling, concurrency, asynchronous workflows, and lifecycle management in distributed systems.
  • Proven ability to debug and resolve complex production and performance issues.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated deployment processes.
