What you'll do

Architect and develop scalable distributed systems that support horizontal and vertical scaling for high-throughput workloads.
Design fault-tolerant components using redundancy, replication, and automatic failover to ensure high availability during service updates.
Implement mechanisms such as load-shedding, throttling, and rate-limiting to manage network unreliability and meet service level objectives.
Build telemetry systems, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms to proactively monitor system health and identify performance gaps.
Design complex validation scenarios including fault injection and brownouts to ensure data integrity and system correctness.
Proactively diagnose and resolve production issues while mentoring peers on troubleshooting and incident response.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools to manage cloud infrastructure, patching, and rollbacks.
Implement robust security controls and remediation plans to protect multi-tenant environments and ensure regulatory compliance.

What we're looking for

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
6 to 10+ years of software engineering experience building highly available, scalable distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, Rust, C/C++, or similar systems and backend languages.
Deep experience in core infrastructure areas including distributed systems, cloud control planes, networking, storage, and security.
Ability to lead the design and delivery of complex, resilient, and observable services.
Strong understanding of failure handling, concurrency, asynchronous workflows, and lifecycle management in distributed systems.
Expertise in Linux, kernel programming, and system programming.
Proven ability to mentor peers and provide technical leadership through code and design reviews.
