Principal Data Center MEP PM The Principal Data Center MEP PM joins the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Data Center Infrastructure Delivery team to oversee the execution of mission-critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for hyperscale data center construction projects. Key responsibilities include tracking project schedules, identifying risks, resolving design conflicts, and managing technical documentation such as RFIs and submittals. The role requires expertise in electrical or mechanical systems within data center environments, utilizing tools like Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or SharePoint to ensure high-quality infrastructure delivery.

What you'll do

Provide field-based project management for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on hyperscale data center projects.
Oversee the installation of power distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, cooling systems, and fire protection infrastructure.
Track construction schedules, milestones, risks, and dependencies related to MEP activities.
Monitor installation quality, field progress, construction documentation, and punch-list closure.
Partner with QA/QC teams to manage inspections, non-conformance tracking, and corrective actions.
Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure systems are tested and turned over according to requirements.
Identify and escalate design conflicts, constructability issues, and potential schedule impacts.
Review RFIs, submittals, change impacts, and technical coordination items during construction meetings.

What we're looking for

Must have 5+ years of experience in data center, hyperscale, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale construction project delivery.
Must have direct experience supporting MEP construction on data center or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Required experience with electrical MEP systems such as medium-voltage distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, and power distribution.
Experience with mechanical systems including cooling, chilled water, piping, and fire protection is also acceptable.
Prior experience working specifically on hyperscale data center projects is required.
Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation.
Ability to work approximately 85% on-site in the Abilene/Shackelford, Texas area.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management and professional certifications like PMP, CCM, or PE.
