What you'll do

  • Oversee high-voltage utility interconnection strategy, substation delivery, and permanent power readiness across OCI campuses.
  • Coordinate utility milestones, scheduled outages, tie-ins, and energization sequencing for project sites.
  • Conduct on-site power readiness reviews and assess the quality of turnover and startup alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks related to utility constraints, infrastructure dependencies, and schedule impacts.
  • Execute safe transitions from temporary to permanent power while enforcing standards for live work and outage planning.
  • Provide executive-level updates regarding utility constraints, power risks, and recovery priorities.
  • Mentor team members by providing technical expertise and practical guidance on field execution.

What we're looking for

  • Must have 12+ years of experience in utility power delivery, HV/MV electrical infrastructure, substations, or mission-critical construction.
  • Requires deep knowledge of utility feeds, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and power distribution interfaces.
  • Must possess proven experience in utility coordination, interconnection strategy, and permanent power readiness.
  • Must have experience managing utility-driven schedule risks, outage constraints, and long-lead infrastructure.
  • Experience is required in commissioning, startup, turnover, and temporary-to-permanent power transitions.
  • Must demonstrate strong safety leadership regarding energized work, LOTO, and live power activities.
  • Ability to travel regularly and maintain 40–60% site engagement at active campuses.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
