Senior Data Center Commissioning Engineer

What you'll do

• Perform functional testing, integrated systems testing, energization readiness, and operational readiness activities for data center systems.
• Review commissioning plans, test scripts, schedules, turnover packages, and system readiness documentation.
• Monitor field progress to verify that systems are ready for commissioning and final turnover.
• Identify and track commissioning risks, system gaps, deficiencies, and documentation issues through to resolution.
• Validate electrical, mechanical, controls, fire/life safety, and integrated data center systems.
• Review MOPs, test procedures, equipment startup documentation, and vendor reports.
• Manage the creation of turnover documentation, including test records, deficiency logs, and operational handoff packages.
• Communicate status, risks, and field issues clearly to commissioning leadership and stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• Must have 5 years of experience supporting commissioning, startup, testing, and turnover activities for data center systems.
• Must possess working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, controls, fire/life safety, or integrated building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, commissioning documents, test procedures, and equipment documentation.
• Experience in data center commissioning, mission critical facilities, construction, engineering, startup, testing, or facility operations.
• Must have strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills to coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, facilities management, or a related technical field (preferred).
• Certifications such as CCP, CxA, DCDC, OSHA 30-Hour, NFPA 70E, or PMP are valued.
• Experience with major electrical systems, mechanical systems, and commissioning management platforms (preferred).
