Lead Principal Data Center Commissioning Engineer

What you'll do

• Oversee the commissioning of multiple lease provider projects to ensure they meet company quality and engineering standards.
• Lead the interface with data center partners to commission electrical, control, and mechanical systems for ready-for-service turnover.
• Review all commissioning testing procedures to verify that equipment and subsystems function according to the basis of design.
• Provide expert technical guidance on advanced diagnostics and repairs for critical infrastructure systems.
• Manage contract administration tasks including the generation and review of contracts, change orders, and cost forecasts.
• Develop training programs and provide mentorship to junior team members as a subject matter expert.
• Contribute to the development of design specifications to ensure the procurement of reliable and efficient data centers.
• Author technical documentation and cross-functional standard operating procedures (SOPs).

What we're looking for

• Must have 10+ years of experience in data center commissioning and engineering.
• Must possess professional qualifications in mechanical, control, or electrical engineering with a commissioning focus.
• Must have expert operating knowledge of engineering systems including advanced diagnostics and repairs.
• Must be able to demonstrate expert-level knowledge of safe working practices such as lockout/tag out.
• Must possess expert-level communication skills for technical writing and cross-functional collaboration.
• Must be able to lead the commissioning of electrical, control, and mechanical systems for data center partners.
• Must be able to travel up to two weeks a month.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
