As a Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer on an incubation team, you will play a critical role in developing a new platform designed to power OCI services at cloud scale. What you'll do

Design and build scalable, elastic distributed systems to support OCI services at cloud scale.
Optimize critical code paths and data pipelines for high-throughput, hyperscale workloads.
Architect fault-tolerant systems using redundancy, replication, and automated failover mechanisms.
Implement resilience features such as load shedding, throttling, rate limiting, and backpressure.
Develop sophisticated validation strategies including fault injection and failure simulation to ensure system reliability.
Establish observability through the creation of telemetry, dashboards, and proactive alerting for system health.
Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools to manage large-scale infrastructure changes safely.
Lead root cause investigations and mentor peers on debugging, incident response, and distributed systems engineering.

What we're looking for

Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Candidates must have 6 to 10+ years of experience in relevant engineering fields.
Experience designing and building scalable, elastic distributed systems at cloud scale is required.
Expertise in optimizing critical code and data paths for high-throughput, hyperscale workloads is required.
Proficiency in implementing resilience mechanisms such as load shedding, throttling, rate limiting, and backpressure is required.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and deployment tooling is required.
Ability to design and implement security controls and remediation strategies for multi-tenant cloud environments is required.
Proven ability to mentor peers and provide technical leadership in incident response and architectural direction is required.
