Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and build scalable, elastic distributed systems that support high-throughput, hyperscale workloads.
• Optimize critical code paths and data-plane platforms for large-scale retrieval, storage, and processing.
• Architect fault-tolerant systems using redundancy, replication, and mechanisms like load shedding and rate limiting.
• Develop validation strategies including fault injection, brownout testing, and failure simulation to verify system behavior.
• Define and maintain SLOs, KPIs, telemetry, and proactive alerting to monitor system health and performance.
• Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tooling to manage cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows.
• Implement robust security controls, encryption, and authentication for multi-tenant cloud environments.
• Proactively investigate and resolve complex production issues through deep technical analysis and root cause investigations.

What we're looking for

• Must have 6 to 10+ years of experience.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to design and build scalable, elastic distributed systems at cloud scale.
• Must be able to optimize critical code and data paths for high-throughput, hyperscale workloads.
• Must be able to architect resilient, fault-tolerant systems using redundancy, replication, and failover.
• Must be able to implement load shedding, throttling, rate limiting, and backpressure mechanisms.
• Must be able to develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and deployment tooling.
• Must be able to implement security controls and remediation strategies for multi-tenant cloud environments.
