Presales Systems Engineer Internship

What you'll do

• Develop technical strategies and generate formal proposals to present Motorola's solutions to customers.
• Consult with customers to determine specific requirements and design optimal communication solutions.
• Perform coverage and antenna site selection, frequency planning, and interference analysis.
• Design system architectures and select appropriate equipment for customer projects.
• Provide technical support throughout the pre-sales phase and present proposed solutions to clients.
• Manage all technical aspects of assigned projects from initial award until final system acceptance.
• Execute implementation planning, system acceptance testing, coverage testing, and system staging.
• Update sales professionals and customers on the latest technology offerings and their relevance to customer needs.

What we're looking for

• High School Diploma required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with an expected graduation date on or after December 2027.
• Must be returning to school in the Fall of 2027.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment.
• Experience working with customers is desirable.
• Experience/Knowledge in radio systems, RF, wireless, broadband, microwave, networking, or communications networks (MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP) is desirable (preferred).
• Certifications through CCNA, CompTIA, and/or Amateur Radio/HAM is desirable (preferred).
• Preferred candidates will live in San Diego, CA or Allen, TX (preferred).
