Presales Engineering Intern

What you'll do

• Consult with customers to determine requirements and design optimal communication solutions.
• Develop technical strategies and generate formal proposals presenting Motorola's solutions to customers.
• Perform coverage and antenna site selection, frequency planning, and interference analysis.
• Design system architectures and select appropriate equipment for customer projects.
• Provide technical support throughout the pre-sales phase and present proposed solutions to clients.
• Manage technical project aspects from award until system acceptance, including implementation planning.
• Conduct system acceptance testing, coverage testing, and system staging.
• Update sales professionals and customers on the latest technology offerings and their relevance.

What we're looking for

• High School Diploma required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with an expected graduation date on or after December 2027.
• Must be returning to school in the Fall of 2027.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with customers is desirable.
• Experience or knowledge in radio systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, broadband, microwave, and/or networking is desirable.
• Experience or knowledge of communications networks (MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP) is desirable.
• Certifications through CCNA, CompTIA, and/or Amateur Radio/HAM is desirable (preferred).
• Preferred candidates will live in Chicago/Chicago Suburbs (preferred).
