As a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect in the Scaled Growth organization, you will serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise organizations by guiding them to design and build reliable, scalable systems using the MongoDB data platform. You will collaborate with sales executives and field teams to solve business problems through technical discovery, demonstrations, proof of value, and architecture optimization. Your daily responsibilities include designing performant infrastructure for large software projects, articulating business value to stakeholders, and proactively generating demand through technical initiatives. The role requires proficiency in modern scripting languages like Python, Node.js, or SQL, as well as programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or C#. You will work with technologies including MongoDB Atlas, Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, and various hyperscaler cloud platforms to address complex data engineering, AI/ML projects, and modern microservices architectures.

What you'll do

Design and architect scalable, performant applications and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
Guide customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies while communicating the business value of MongoDB solutions.
Conduct technical discovery, product demonstrations, and proof of value exercises to win new deals.
Partner with sales teams to manage account planning, opportunity prioritization, and pipeline generation.
Proactively generate demand through self-driven technical initiatives and participation in industry trade shows.
Build strong customer relationships and identify internal champions to ensure long-term success and satisfaction.
Provide feedback from the field to the product team to drive innovation and process improvements.
Mentor other Solutions Consulting team members and stay current on MongoDB products and industry trends.

What we're looking for

5 to 8 years of related industry experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with modern or popular programming languages like Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
Experience implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-premise environments.
Ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly to both technical and business leadership.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Professional proficiency in both written and verbal English communication.
