As a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect in the Scaled Growth organization, you will serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise organizations by guiding them to design and build reliable, scalable systems using the MongoDB data platform. You will collaborate with sales executives and field teams to solve complex business problems through technical discovery, demonstrations, proof of value, and architecture reviews. Your daily work involves designing performant applications, articulating business value to stakeholders, and identifying optimization strategies for large software projects. To succeed, you must possess expertise in modern scripting languages like Python, Node.js, or SQL, as well as programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or C#. You will also leverage knowledge of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, and data engineering to help customers navigate modern architecture patterns and generative AI journeys.

What you'll do

Design and architect scalable, performant applications and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
Guide customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies while communicating the business value of MongoDB solutions.
Conduct technical discovery, product demonstrations, and proof of value exercises to win new deals.
Partner with sales teams to manage account planning, opportunity qualification, and pipeline generation.
Proactively generate demand through self-driven technical initiatives and participation in industry events.
Review complex existing application architectures to provide guidance on improvements using MongoDB technology.
Relay field feedback to the product team to drive innovation and improve internal processes.
Mentor other Solutions Consulting team members and stay current on industry trends and products.

What we're looking for

5 to 8 years of related industry experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with modern or popular programming languages like Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
Experience implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-premises.
Ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly to both technical and business leadership.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Professional proficiency in both written and verbal English communication.
